Belvedere 21

HISTORY
The 21er Haus – Museum of Contemporary Art was opened November 15, 2011. It is one of the most important Austrian architectural monuments of the fifties. It is an innovative platform for contemporary art and new location for the latest art trends, the collection of post-1945 art, and the Wotruba Archive. Thus, since its reconstruction by the renowned architect Adolf Krischanitz, the former World Fair pavilion designed by Karl Schwanzer takes on a key role in the Belvedere ensemble.
