We started out small, scattered across our city, everyone was doing his thing. We got into grappling to see what it was all about, to see what the guys in the UFC were doing on the ground, to see if the hype was real. And it was. Everything jiu jitsu had to offer was legitimate, everything worked exactly as advertised and everyone was hooked at once.
Some time passed and we met somewhere. Some of us knew each other from before, some faces were new. And then that moment of fate - we started talking about jiu jitsu and when "jitsers" start talking about "jits" a connection is made. Then the first roll. After some time the first competition. Our first losses. Then our first wins, our first medals. Everything was coming together, everything started taking shape. Our numbers grew. We raised some heads. After years of training we met a master that took us under his wing. We stepped into the octagon. Our man got his hand raised, we made some noise. We got promoted. The well overdue belt now proudly tied around our waists. We met our idols. We trained with them. We made some noise again. And this is only the beginning...
