Studio Hani Rashid

Hani Rashid's studio programs focus's on the development of conceptual, practical and critical skills as a means of making new, compelling and forward thinking architecture. The studio curriculum targets architecture as both an object oriented pursuit as well as a discipline reacting to and delving into environmental and phenomenological aspects of space making and form finding. Research and discovery within the program include understanding architecture as being an atmospheric phenomenal, optic and experiential response to inhabitation, utility and meaning. Students are encouraged to create and conceptualize architecture as a being intelligent, versatile, responsive and unexpected.

The pedagogy within the studio program relies heavily on model making and drawing (both digital and analog), as well animating, scripting, programming and presentation in support of spatial and architectural postulates, arguments, design concepts and strategies.
