Welcome Centre University of Passau

The Welcome Centre of the University of Passau is the first place to go for international visiting scholars, lecturers, researcher on a regular employment contract with the University or international graduates looking to start your doctoral studies in Passau.

We provid help with all non-academic problems about your stay in Passau. We would be happy to facilitate your start and support you.

Our aim is to make your transition to this new environment as smooth as possible by providing advice and support with the necessary administrative formalities before your arrival, during your stay, as well as before and after your departure. Do you have any questions about visa issues or social security? Are you looking for accommodation or a place in kindergarten or school for your children? Then don’t hesitate to contact us!

Aside from the administrative support, we organise a variety of fun activities each semester, during which you meet other international academics and get to know the city and its surroundings easily. Your significant other and your children are very welcome to join in, too.
